I finally satisfied my Gerbera Daisy need and began opening the Pressed Petals Suite with the beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP) . I just love the look of the burlap background against the crumb cake brick and mortar (inspired by Sue Mohr). I changed a few things, added a few things and made this card my own. What do you think of the use of the new Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder as a background for this DSP? I want to try the burlap stamp as a background…a project for another day.
I made some with the pressed petals washi tape and some without. I think it’s beautiful either way. I used the sentiments from the Path of Petals stamp set and die on p. 74 – all part of the Pressed Petals Suite. If you haven’t already, be sure to watch the video on my facebook page to learn how to make a Washi Tape flower – it comes in the Suite.
The new Delightful Tag Topper punch has just the right decorative top to enhance the DSP. A touch of retired Merry Merlot/Copper ribbon was a perfect match. Let me know what you think in the comments AND if you want to take advantage of the opportunity to make this card (by special request ONLY) on Tuesday July 9th.
