There have been so many new posts about calendars, I was inspired to make one for a few friends. I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) the idea from a post by Kelly Acheson, a Demonstrator from Menasha, WI. She used the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle from the new January Occasions Catalog.
Since I promised to send ideas and a recipe for a new card each month I thought I could get a head start for the new year with this calendar card idea. I used Kelly’s idea, tweaked the dimension, changed the colors and the bundles. Use your own color combinations and ideas for a cover and a back side. This color combination spoke to me about a new season coming! The flowers are from the Colorful Seasons Bundle which is so versatile for every season. I used the wood grain DSP to cut the branches and hand colored the flowers.
Here is the link for the Calendar PDF
which needs to be printed on copy paper and each month cut 2 1/2″ x 2 1/4 “. Then stack and staple together (try to keep the staples straight – mine are crooked)!!
Ah…such an early breath of spring is in the air!!!

The best and most beautiful things cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.
Sandi,
I have a suggestion that in place of staples use plain or decorative metal fasteners. This would require punching small holes in the calendar pages.

Good suggestion Tanya! Wonder how the stand would hold up after 12 months? I have some cute brads…now its about time to punch each page. I will definitely give that a try on the next calendar. Just like everything else, the more you make the better it becomes. Your’s was the first! Blessings and thanks again for the suggestion.
