A CUP OF TEA FOR MOTHER’S DAY
The most popular card at the Tuesday buffet. A challenge but nonetheless, these veteran stampers did a beautiful job of choosing just the right teapot.
Top left: Using clear vellum on top of Floral Romance DSP creates a beautiful effect on a flirty flamingo base that is embossed with the Tin Tile Dynamic folder. Bottom: Cup and Teapot stamped on whisper white and covered with the beautiful vellum sheet in the Floral Romance DSP. Inspired by Su Mohr.
CHANGE IS GOOD: Product News
- On April 15th at 1:00 pm the retirement list will post to the website. Products will be as supplies last- so if there is something you can’t live without. Get it sooner rather than later
- If you have the Stampin’ Trimmer, you will want to grab replacement blades right away. Because of on-going issues with the manufacturer, the trimmer, replacement blades and mats, will be discontinued. Right now you can order 3 sets of replacement blades per order. Starting April 15th, this number will increase to 6. Over the next few months, there will be small batches of inventory arrive and it’s anticipated to be depleted rapidly. When those few small batches end, that will be the end of this trimmer.
- Stampin’ Up! is changing its die cutting and dry embossing lines. Innovation requires risk, and in their pursuit of a better overall die-cutting and embossing product line, they’ve experienced more significant challenges than originally planned for, including some transition issues like the die inventory problems experienced beginning in March. The new dies and folders will continue to work with the die-cutting machine we currently carry but in the 2019-20 catalog there will not be a die-cutting machine. I expect that one will be announced at some point during the year. You can click here to read more about the transition.
When the retiring list goes live on April 15, the order limit for the Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Blade Refills will increase from three to six (and the limit will remain at six until they’re no longer available). And from now until September, SU will receive intermittent shipments from the supplier.
The dies and folders that will be offered will not be from our current supplier. So there will be small changes: the dies and folders will be manufactured differently; this means the way you use the new style of dies and folders will be a little different than how you used the old style. Both the new-style and old-style dies and embossing folders can work with any die-cutting & embossing machine (in some cases, adaptations like shims may be required because the gap between rollers on machines may vary slightly between manufacturers). Click here for more details regarding the changes to our die-cutting machine, dies and embossing folders.
I post this and a few other comments from other demonstrators on my Facebook page to encourage you. I realize for many of you that this news may be a little jaw-dropping at first. I had a similar reaction. But after giving it a little more thought, reminding myself that change is an opportunity for new and better, and knowing what a strong company Stampin’ Up! has been for 30 years, I now anticipate some marvelous changes to come! And I’m excited.
